Calcium Carbide 7-15mm finds its use as nitrogen fixative in cyanamide production and for removing sulfur in steelmaking industry. It is a chemical compound which appears as gray to black colored solid showing high reactivity with water. This compound shows density of about 2.22 g/cm3 with molecular formula CaC2. One of its main uses is in production of acetylene which is required for oxyacetylene welding. In ladle treatment facilities, Calcium Carbide 7-15mm serves as an excellent deoxidizer and as a fuel for increasing scrap ratio to liquid iron in steel making industry.
