Product Description
Calcium Carbide 0 - 4 mm offered by us is of very high purity and shows low thermal expansion. It finds it is most common application in steelmaking industry but is also used in pharmaceuticals, fertilizer, plastic, & rubber manufacturing plants. This compound is extremely hard and shows good resistance to wear & abrasion. It also has a role to play in reduction of metallic oxide & copper sulfide. Calcium Carbide 0 - 4 mm is known to react quickly with water so as to produce acetylene gas and with nitrogen to produce calcium cyanamide at high temperature.
